This is a special optical Whitener which is made by ionisation of hydrogen peroxide by some regent. The end product is parahydroxyion (ooh) which has instanteneous whitening effect on any grade of fibers (paper fibre, textile, rayon etc.) without any deviation of strength properties. Corrosiveness of hydrogen peroxide is lost in the end product and so there is no handling hazards.
Dosing: Addition patern is same as other optical whiteners. However, it can be diluted for through mixing. 4 litres to 5 litres per mt of pulp is the normal dosing depending on system variable product requirement, and basic pulp quality. Chlorine free pulp requires less chemical. Addition is done mainly in machine chests.
