Raw Edge Cogged Belts

We are engaged in offering Raw Edge Cogged Belts that do not have textile wrapping on the outer surface. These belts are also called as cut edge belts as these are manufactured by slitting individual belts from rubber sleeve. Raw edge cogged belts have cogs underside, which reduces the bending resistance of the belts and help the belts in operating on pulleys with 20% smaller diameters. The decreased bending resistance reduce the mechanical loss produced during bending, which further leads to reduced working temperature and improved efficiency.

Heat dissipation is also improved by the air turbulence around the cogs during operation and the larger area that is between the belt and the surrounding atmosphere. Multi stage drives can be eliminated during the production. These belts require higher tension than the wrap belts for exhibiting higher power transmission capability.

Raw Edge Belts are of three types:

• REC Belts (Raw Edge Moulded Cogged Belts)
• REP Belts (Raw Edge Plain Belts)
• REL Belts (Raw Edge Laminated Belts)
