Anti Scaling for Boiler Powder

Corrosion in Boiler tubes affecfs heat transfer which results in more fuel consumption with less steam generation and frequent cleaning of rust from tubes shortens Boiler life. So Boiler feed water should be treated to eliminate those responsible for corrosion.

The following factors are responsibleforthe formation of an electro chemical cell which includes corrosion: (i) Dissolved oxygen, (ii) Dissolved carbon dioxide, (iii) Ph of water, (iv) Temp of Water, (v) Dissimilar

metal joints, (vi) Dissolved solids, (vii) Metal composition, (viii) Flow rate etc.

Our Anti-scaling agent is a catalyst, a combination of 5 chemicals like sodium hexa-meta phasphate, Tre-

sodium phosphate, sodium pyro-phosphate, sodium sulphite, copper sulphate under specific ration.

The use of this catalyst eliminates the corrosion chemicals from Boiler feed water. The doses of catalyst

must be such that there is reserve of the chemical acting as safety factor against accidental 0₂ increase into the boiler.

Effective corrosion prevention can only be achieved when the problems are correctly diagnosed and appropriate treatment is applied continuously. No universal guidelines for dosing can be laid down as water characteristics, boilerconstruction, operating parameters vary in every case.

A case example: 5-6 kg. catalyst per day for untreated feed water for a Boiler having 10 M.T. capacity at 6-7 kg/cm², dosing may vary depending on local condition.
